The monthly Parish Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at 7:30 pm. All parishioners are encouraged to attend. Please make every effort to be there.
Thanks to your efforts this past weekend,
over 40 hygiene kits are now on their way to IOCC for onward
distribution to those in need. Thank you for the love and generosity
you are showing to those who suffer, nearby and far away.
Greetings in the Lord. We are now aware of both the magnitude of the tragedy that has occurred in Haiti and the tremendous difficulties in getting aid and relief to the needy. Each of us is called through our Christian vocation to help our brothers and sisters who suffer. In this case, we offer this help through prayer and material aid. In addition to prayer (as Church, as families, as individuals), Four Evangelists' parish will participate in the effort to help the suffering in Haiti.
Blessing of Water - Sunday, January 10, 2010 - 01/09/10
Christ is Baptized!
I hope you are all well. I wanted to remind you that,
as we are currently in the midst of the Feast of Theophany, we will be serving
the Great Blessing of the Water, Sunday, January 10, 2010, toward the end of the Divine Liturgy-
please bring with you containers suitable for bringing home some Holy Water
afterwards (jars tend to work best). I believe that the younger kids will
be decorating bottles during their church school class, so, if you have a
bottle, please bring it in (and give it to the kids to decorate, if you like).
I look forward to worshiping with you all, tonight and tomorrow.
Take care, God bless.
with love in Christ,
frGregory

Join our Charitable Outreach Chairwoman as we visit a shelter in Harford County and explore opportunities to help those less fortunate in our community. This tour is not a commitment to volunteering, but a tour is necessary before deciding -- both the Shelter and us -- to volunteer. Prayerfully consider this opportunity and take the tour.
Blessings to all of you and your families.
With love in Christ Jesus,
Thank you all for working so hard, especially during the major storms these past two weeks, to continue to assemble materials for the IOCC Haiti relief effort at Four Evangelists. Thanks to your efforts, another 47 Hygiene Kits (two boxes' worth!) were assembled and will be on their way this week to the IOCC distribution center. This brings our total contribution thus far to over 90 kits. We still need nail files/clippers and toothbrushes to round out our remaining supplies, and will complete the rest of the kits once we have enough of those items.
Thank you for your continued mercy, support and compassion for those who suffer, nearby and far away.
